Truro Christmas Primestock and Produce Show
Truro Christmas Primestock Show 2022The management committee of the Truro Christmas Primestock and Produce Society are pleased to announce that, on Wednesday 7th December, the committee, with the support of Lodge and Thomas, will coordinate the Primestock Show at the Truro Cattle Market. The Society are delighted to resume the domestic section. Tanya Thomas, who farms near Tresillian is the Show Chairman, having been Secretary of the show for the past 10 years, said “After two years hosting only livestock, the Committee are delighted to go back to having a full Primestock Show, with cattle, sheep, farm produce including commercial vegetables, domestic and even sloe gin!”The show has like all events, suffered from Covid cancellations. For the previous two years the show has been for cattle and sheep only, one of the only shows to continue. The show organisers now feel the time is right to once again coordinate a full show, and welcome members of the public to see the best Cornish farming can produce.Show President Armorel Carlyon said “This show allows exhibitors to show their fabulous cattle and sheep and give the opportunity to local butchers to purchase prize winning animals so their customers may purchase the best of Cornish beef and lamb in time for Christmas”.The show committee are in talks to bring the show back to Truro City Centre for 2023, but feel that a full show in 2022 at the Truro Cattle market is more of an exciting option than a partial show on Lemon Quay.Look out for the show schedule of all classes during mid-September. #truroprimestockshow #truro #truroprimestock #trurocattlemarket #cornishagriculture #whatsonincornwall #whatsonincornwall2022 #december2022 #showday ...
